What are Heads-up Alerts in the Scalper Terminal?

Heads-up is a simple on/off setting in the Scalper Terminal that shows contextual warning messages and critical risk suggestions in the Scalper order window. It helps you take informed actions while placing orders in Scalper mode on FYERS Web.

Scope: Heads-up applies only to the Scalper mode/order window inside the Scalper Terminal on FYERS Web. It does not change margins, order types, or exchange/RMS validations.

How heads-up works

  • When ON: The order window may display warnings or risk suggestions relevant to your current action (e.g., quantity, product type, general risk reminders).
  • When OFF: These advisory prompts are suppressed. However, mandatory system/exchange errors and RMS rejections will still appear.
  • Configuration: Heads-up is a single toggle. Per-alert customisation is not available.

Enable or disable Heads-up (FYERS Web › Scalper Terminal)

  1. Open FYERS Web → Options → Scalper Terminal.
  2. Click Settings (panel on the right inside Scalper Terminal).
  3. Turn the Heads-up toggle ON or OFF.
  4. Click Save. (Use Reset to restore defaults.)

Tips & warnings

  • Heads-up is advisory. It cannot override RMS/exchange rules or guarantee order placement.
  • If you use quick actions or templates, verify your Default Lot / Qty before placing orders.
  • After toggling, click Save to apply changes in the current session.

Troubleshooting

  • I don’t see Heads-up messages even when it’s ON.
    Ensure you’re in the Scalper Terminal order window, click Save after toggling, then refresh the page if needed. If issues persist, click Reset and enable Heads-up again.
  • I still get messages with Heads-up OFF.
    Mandatory errors/rejections from the system, exchange, or RMS will continue to appear. Heads-up controls only advisory prompts.
  • The toggle is greyed out or changes don’t persist.
    Re-login and try a different browser session. Confirm you clicked Save in Settings.
