What is Trending OI in Options Analytics?

Trending OI in Options Analytics helps you analyse how Open Interest (OI) is changing over time in relation to the underlying price for selected option strikes.

This view is designed to show trends and divergence between:

  • Underlying price movement
  • Call vs Put Open Interest changes

It is a visual analysis tool and does not support order placement.

Available on FYERS Web and FYERS App.

Trending OI displays time-based charts for selected option strikes of the chosen underlying and expiry.

You can switch between two views:

  • Underlying price vs OI change
Shows how OI change behaves relative to the underlying price movement over time.
  • Call vs Put OI
Compares Call-side and Put-side OI changes to help understand relative sentiment and positioning.

Each selected strike is plotted as a separate line on the chart.

Use Trending OI to:

  • Track how OI builds or unwinds over time
  • Compare Call vs Put participation trends
  • Identify divergence between price movement and OI behaviour
  • Monitor how sentiment evolves during the trading session

This view is useful for trend observation and context, not for direct execution.
