How to use Preferences (Filters and Columns) in Positions?
The Preferences panel in FYERS lets you tailor your Positions view by filtering trades based on criteria like product type or side, and by customising which columns are shown. It's split into two tabs: Filters and Columns, and adapts dynamically to the positions you hold.
Steps
Using Filters (Smart)
Customising Columns
What If
Scenario | What to Do |
---|
No filters are visible | Smart Filters show only when multiple relevant values exist. Try after taking more trades. |
Columns not showing expected data | Go to the Columns tab and ensure the field is selected. |
View resets after logout | Preferences are saved per session or browser — reselect when logging in elsewhere. |
Want to simplify view | Uncheck lesser-used fields to reduce clutter. |
Notes
Filters and column preferences are for display only; they don’t affect execution or orders.
This is ideal for traders who want to track specific metrics or focus on one product type.
