How to use Preferences (Filters and Columns) in Positions?

The Preferences panel in FYERS lets you tailor your Positions view by filtering trades based on criteria like product type or side, and by customising which columns are shown. It's split into two tabs: Filters and Columns, and adapts dynamically to the positions you hold.

Steps

  • Go to the Portfolio → Positions section.
  • Click the Filters icon in the top right of the screen.
  • In the Preferences panel, you’ll see two tabs:
    • Filters: Narrow down visible positions based on available criteria.
    • Columns: Show or hide specific data fields in your Positions table.

Using Filters (Smart)

  • Filters only appear when your position data has relevant values.
  • Examples of filter types:
    • Side: Buy / Sell
    • Product: Intraday, MTF, Overnight
    • Exchange: NSE, BSE
  • Simply check/uncheck to apply — results are instantly updated.

Customising Columns

  • In the Columns tab, toggle data like:
    • Qty, Avg price, LTP, Realised/Unrealised P&L, MTM
    • Transaction-specific values (Buy qty, Sell qty, etc.)
  • All changes reflect live on the table.
  • Use the reset icon to restore default columns.
