How to use Preferences (Filters and Columns) in Holdings?
The Preferences panel in FYERS allows you to customize your Holdings view to focus on the data that matters most to you. You can apply filters and show/hide specific columns for both Stock and Mutual Fund holdings.
Steps to Access Preferences
- Go to Portfolio → Holdings.
- Click the Filters icon (top right of the Holdings screen).
In the Preferences panel, you'll see two tabs:
- Filters: Narrow down holdings by gainers/losers.
- Columns: Choose which data fields to display.
Using Filters (Smart Behavior)
Filters appear based on what’s relevant to your current holdings. You’ll typically see:
- All – Show all holdings
- Gainers – Show only stocks or funds with positive returns
- Losers – Show only those with negative returns
These filters apply independently to Stocks and Mutual Funds tabs.
Customising Columns
In the Columns tab of Preferences, you can toggle key data points such as:
- Qty / Units
- T1 Quantity (for stocks)
- LTP / NAV
- Invested Value
- Current Value
- Unrealised P&L
- Today’s P&L
- Value %, etc.
Any column you deselect will be hidden from view. Use the reset icon to restore the default layout.
What If:
Scenario | What to Do |
---|
Filter options not showing | Filters appear only when relevant values exist (e.g., at least one loser or gainer). |
Some columns are missing | Go to the Columns tab and ensure the desired fields are checked. |
Preferences reset after logout | Preferences are session-based; reselect them after logging in again. |
View feels cluttered | Hide lesser-used fields to simplify the layout. |
Tip: Using filters and column preferences makes it easier to monitor key performance metrics—especially helpful for diversified portfolios.
