How to re-activate my trading account?

If your trading account has been inactive for a certain period, it may be deactivated according to SEBI guidelines. There are two categories of inactive accounts:
  1. Inactive for more than one year but less than two years:
If your account falls into this category, the process to reactivate is straightforward. Here's what you need to do:
  1. Log in to 'My Account.'
  2. Click on 'Reactivate Now' on the pop-up.
  1. Inactive for two years or more:
For accounts in this category, clients previously had to redo their entire KYC (Know Your Customer) process offline. Now, an online reactivation process is available for individual accounts. Follow these steps:
  1. Log in to 'My Account.'
  2. Select your income range and click on 'Reactivate Now.'
  3. You'll be redirected to the DigiLocker page. Enter your Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number linked with your Aadhaar. Enter the four-digit PIN and click on 'Continue.'
  4. Upload your live photo and your signature. Click on 'Proceed to E-Sign.'
  5. Enter your Aadhaar number and OTP to complete the e-sign process.
  6. Upon completing the e-sign process, your details will be submitted successfully.
It will take up to 7 working days to process the reactivation request.

Note: The online procedure is applicable only for individuals. For non-individuals, the procedure remains offline. 
  1.  Offline process for non-individual accounts:
    1. Download the reactivation document (in the attachment).
    2. Take a printout of the document.
    3. Fill out the form.
    4. Courier the duly signed form along with the required documents to FYERS' head office at the following address:
