Why Was My Trading Account Reactivation Application Rejected?

A FYERS trading account may become dormant if there is no activity for 24 consecutive months. Reactivation for individual accounts is now available online and is the preferred method. Older offline reactivation applications could be rejected due to documentation issues.

Important: Before reactivation, ensure KYC details are correct, PAN is linked with Aadhaar, and nominee information is updated. Mismatches can delay or block reactivation.

Reactivation Process (Preferred: Online)

  1. Log in to FYERS Web or the FYERS App.
  2. Open Profile.
  3. Go to the Others tab and select Re Activate Account.
  4. Complete Aadhaar eSign verification.
  5. After successful verification, reactivation completes within 24 to 48 hours.

Why Offline Applications Were Rejected (Older Process)

Earlier offline submissions were commonly rejected for the following reasons:

  • Recent, clear photograph not attached
  • Documents not self attested
  • KYC form had scratches, markings, overwriting or whitener applied
  • Required fields left incomplete or form not signed
  • Details did not match supporting documents (for example, pincode mismatch)
  • Name mismatch with Income Tax Department records
  • PAN and address proof not attached
  • Unclear or unreadable attached proofs
  • PAN card without signature
  • Signature mismatch between form and documents
  • Proofs for both correspondence and permanent addresses not provided
  • Details in the form not readable
  • Date mentioned in the KYC form (adding a date could trigger rejection)

If an earlier offline request was rejected, submit the reactivation online for a faster resolution.

Tip: Ensure the Aadhaar linked mobile number is active before eSign, since OTP delivery depends on it.
