Smart Exit does not apply to:
The Smart Exit panel may show “No open positions, excluding MTF and delivery, are available” when there are no open positions to monitor.
The Exit Position option lets you choose which positions should be covered under Smart Exit.
When you select All, Smart Exit applies to all open positions, excluding Delivery and MTF positions.
When you select Custom, you can include or exclude specific positions.
For example, if you have Equity Intraday, Futures, and Options positions, and you want Smart Exit to apply only to Options positions, you can use Custom selection to include Options and exclude Futures and Equity Intraday positions.
If you exclude a position, that position will not be considered when Smart Exit is triggered.
The Exit Conditions section is where you define the P&L levels that Smart Exit should monitor.
This shows the current overall P&L of positions only. Delivery and MTF positions are excluded from this value.
Target is the profit level at which Smart Exit can be triggered based on the portfolio-level P&L of open positions.
Stop-loss is the maximum loss level you are willing to allow across covered positions.
Stop-loss is required to activate Smart Exit.
Trail Stop-loss allows your Stop-loss to move upward as your overall P&L improves.
You need to enter a trailing jump value in ₹. Every time your overall P&L increases by the defined jump value, the Stop-loss moves upward by the same amount.
The Stop-loss moves only in the favourable direction and does not move downward if the P&L later reduces. For more details, click here.
The Action field decides what should happen when the Target or Stop-loss condition is triggered.
If you select Exit, positions covered under Smart Exit are squared off when the defined condition is triggered.
If you select Alert Only, you receive a notification when the defined condition is triggered, but your positions remain open.
The Advanced section includes additional controls such as Retest Stop-loss and Target and Take a Break.
Retest helps avoid triggers caused by quick price spikes or temporary P&L movement.
When enabled, Smart Exit waits for the defined Target or Stop-loss level to be crossed and re-tested within the selected real-time seconds before triggering the selected action. For more details, click here.
Take a Break is designed to help avoid overtrading after reaching a defined profit or loss level.
When Take a Break is enabled, trading is stopped for the day, and you can trade again on the next trading day.
To enable Take a Break, you need to complete OTP validation. Once the OTP is verified successfully, the Take a Break toggle turns on. For more details, click here.
You can manage an active Smart Exit setup from the Smart Exit panel.
Once deactivated, Smart Exit stops monitoring your positions immediately. If some covered positions are closed manually, Smart Exit may continue monitoring the remaining covered positions unless it is manually deactivated. For more details, click here.
