What Is Take a Break in Smart Exit on FYERS?
Take a break allows you to automatically stop trading for the rest of the day once Smart Exit is triggered. It is designed to help you avoid overtrading after hitting your defined profit or loss limit. When enabled, Take a break activates only after Smart Exit triggers.
How Take a Break Works
When Take a Break is enabled:
- Smart Exit monitors your overall account-level P&L.
- Once your defined stop-loss or target condition is triggered, the selected action (Exit or Alert only) is executed.
- Immediately after that, Take a break prevents you from placing new positions for the remainder of that trading day.
Take a Break resets the next trading day.
Conditions for Take a Break
- It works only when All eligible positions are selected under Smart Exit.
- If even one position is excluded, Take a Break cannot be enabled.
- If you place new orders after enabling Take a Break but before Smart Exit triggers, Take a Break will not activate.
- It becomes effective only after Smart Exit condition is triggered.
