How do I interpret the stock overview in FYERS?

The Overview tab in FYERS gives you a quick understanding of a stock’s performance. It combines price stats, market activity, quality scores, and peer benchmarks so you can quickly judge whether to explore deeper before investing or trading.

Sections in the Overview tab

  • Price Stats
    • LTP (Last Traded Price) – The current market price.
    • Open, High, Low, Close (OHLC) – Day’s trading range and closing price.
    • 52-Week High/Low – Extremes for the past year; shows where today’s price stands in that range.
    • Volume – Total shares traded in the day.
    • Delivery % – Percentage of traded shares carried forward as overnight positions, rather than squared off intraday.
  • Quick Price Trend Chart
A mini-chart that shows recent price movement at a glance, without opening the full charting tool.
  • Market Depth (Order Book)
Displays top 5 buy and sell orders. Helps you gauge liquidity and immediate demand/supply.
  • QVT Score
    • Quality – Profitability and stability.
    • Valuation – How expensive or cheap the stock is compared to peers.
    • Technical – Strength or weakness in price trends.
QVT in FYERS gives you a quick rating of the stock’s fundamentals and momentum at a glance.
  • SWOT Insights
Summarises key Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats for the company.
These insights are algorithm-based highlights and should be used as a starting point, not as final advice.
  • Peer Comparison
Lets you see how the stock stacks up against sector competitors on valuation and performance metrics.
  • Quick Buy/Sell
Shortcut to place Buy or Sell orders directly from the Overview tab.

How to interpret the Overview tab

  • Price vs. 52-Week Range – If the stock is near its high, optimism is strong; near its low, caution may be higher.
  • Volume + Delivery % – High volume with high delivery % = strong investor interest. Low delivery % = mostly speculative trading.
  • Market Depth – Wide gaps between buy/sell orders may signal low liquidity.
  • QVT – Use as a quick filter: e.g., strong 'Quality' + weak 'Valuation' = good company but possibly overpriced.
  • SWOT – Use for initial screening, but confirm details in Fundamentals or Technicals.
  • Peers – Best used for relative analysis (e.g., comparing P/E ratios across the same sector).

What if?

ScenarioInterpretation
If QVT Score shows “Neutral” in all threeThe company is balanced; dig deeper in Fundamentals for details.
If Market Depth looks emptyThe stock may be illiquid, or the market may be closed. Cross-check with live NSE/BSE data.
If Delivery % is abnormally high or lowThis may be due to one-off bulk trades; verify under the Corporate Details or Bulk/Block deals section.
