What is block size in FYERS Analytics and how do I use it?
On the Heatmap, Block size controls how big each stock’s block appears.
Pick a metric for Block size to make larger or more active companies stand out at a glance.
FYERS Web
- Open Analytics › Heatmap.
- Click Block size.
- Pick the metric you want the block area to represent (for example, Market cap or Volume).
- Click Apply.
- (Optional) Use Reset inside the Block size dialog to clear just this choice, or Reset all on the top toolbar to revert the entire Heatmap.
FYERS App
- Go to Markets (bottom nav) › Analytics › Heatmap.
- Tap the three lines icon (top right) to open Preferences.
- Open Block size, choose the metric for block area (for example, Market cap or Volume), then tap Apply at the bottom.
- (Optional) Tap Reset at the bottom of Preferences to clear your changes.
Notes
- Block size changes only the area of each block (not the colour).
- Choose a size metric that fits your goal: bigger companies (Market cap) or higher activity (Volume).
- Reset all (Web toolbar) restores the Heatmap to default settings.
What If?
| Scenario | Action |
|---|
| I want blocks to reflect company size | Set Block size to a size-based metric (e.g., Market cap). |
| I want blocks to reflect trading activity | Set Block size to an activity metric (e.g., Volume). |
| Block sizes look too similar | Pick a metric with a wider spread (e.g., Market cap instead of a narrow measure). |
| I want to start over (Web) | Click Reset all (on the toolbar) to restore defaults. |
