What is the Bubble chart in FYERS and how do I use it?
The Bubble chart (in Analytics) lets you compare stocks using four visuals at once—X-axis, Y-axis, Bubble size, and Bubble colour—within a chosen Universe. It’s ideal for spotting patterns, clusters, and outliers quickly.
What it shows
- X-axis: metric on the horizontal scale
- Y-axis: metric on the vertical scale
- Bubble size: how large each stock’s bubble appears (scale/importance)
- Bubble colour: colour scale for performance (e.g., return %)
- Universe: which list you’re plotting (e.g., Nifty 50)
How to use it
FYERS App
- Go to Markets (bottom nav) › Analytics › Bubble chart.
- Tap the three lines icon on the top right to open Preferences.
- Set Universe, Bubble size, Bubble colour, and X-axis / Y-axis → tap Apply.
- The chart refreshes with your selections.
FYERS Web
- Open Analytics › Bubble chart.
Use the toolbar controls to set:
- Universe (which stocks to plot)
- Bubble size (what controls bubble area)
- Bubble colour (what controls bubble colour)
- X-axis and Y-axis (metrics for the two axes)
- Click Apply in each setting to update the chart.
- Use Reset inside a setting to clear only that choice, or Reset all on the toolbar to start over.
Notes
- Bubble size highlights scale; Bubble colour adds a performance layer.
- Changing Universe instantly updates which stocks are plotted.
- If bubbles look too similar, switch Bubble size to a wider-spread metric or use a longer Bubble colour window.
What If?
| Scenario | Action |
|---|
| I want a ready-made X–Y setup | Open X,Y axes → choose Preset combinations → Apply. |
| Compare profitability vs growth | Set X-axis to Net profit margin % and Y-axis to Sales growth YoY% → Apply. |
| Bubbles look too similar in size | Change Bubble size to a metric with wider spread (e.g., Market cap). |
| Colours don’t show momentum clearly | Switch Bubble colour to a longer window (e.g., 1M or 3M chg %). |
| Start over | Click Reset all on the toolbar.
