On the Position’s P&L Curve, shaded regions help you quickly see whether your overall intraday P&L is in profit or loss at any moment. The shading updates continuously as market prices move, so you can track shifts from red (loss) to green (profit) and back.
| Scenario | Answer |
|---|---|
| The shading flips between green and red frequently | Your P&L is hovering around zero; small price moves are crossing the zero line and toggling the shading. |
| I was in green earlier but it’s red now | The position moved from profit to loss as prices changed. The curve and shading reflect the latest P&L, not the earlier peak. |
| The curve shows a big green area but I didn’t book profit | Green indicates unrealised profit at that time. If you didn’t exit, it can turn red later as prices move. |
| I scaled in/out and the colors shifted more dramatically | Position size changes amplify or reduce P&L swings, so green/red transitions can become more noticeable after resizing. |
| I see a sudden red block at the session start | An opening gap against your position can push P&L below zero immediately, resulting in red shading from the open. |
