What Are the Minimum and Maximum Investment Limits in OFS?

When participating in an Offer for Sale (OFS) through FYERS, retail investors must follow exchange-specified rules for the minimum and maximum bid amounts.

Minimum Investment

  • You can bid for as little as one share in an OFS.
  • The exact minimum depends on the floor price set by the company.
  • Example: If the floor price is ₹100, the minimum investment required is ₹100 (1 share × ₹100).
The floor price is the minimum bid price at which investors can apply for shares. This price is set by the promoters or large shareholders and is announced publicly one or two days before the OFS date.

Maximum Investment

  • Under the Retail category, you can invest up to ₹2,00,000 across all exchanges.
  • FYERS supports only the Retail category (not HNIs, FPIs, or other categories).
  • Bids exceeding ₹2 lakh are likely to be rejected by the exchange.
