Is It Mandatory To Submit KYC Documents if I’m Already KRA-Registered?

If you're already KYC-registered with a SEBI-authorised KYC Registration Agency (KRA), you may not need to resubmit your documents when opening an account with FYERS. However, this depends on whether your existing KYC is still valid, complete, and accessible in the KRA database.

When you don’t need to submit KYC documents again

You are not required to re-upload your KYC documents if all the following conditions are met:

  • Your PAN is verified and linked to a valid KYC in a KRA database (e.g., CVL KRA, CAMS KRA)
  • There are no changes in your name, address, email ID, or mobile number
  • Your KYC record is up-to-date and retrievable

We check your KYC status automatically during onboarding using your PAN and date of birth. If verified, your application can proceed without additional document uploads.

When you must resubmit KYC documents

You’ll be asked to upload fresh KYC documents if:

  • Your name, address, mobile number, or email ID has changed
  • Your KYC record is outdated, incomplete, or rejected
  • Your PAN is not linked to a valid or accessible KYC in any KRA

Resubmitting the correct documents ensures your application is processed without delays or errors.

How to check your KYC status

You can check your current KYC status by entering your PAN on any of the official KRA portals:

These portals will display whether your KYC is verified, on hold, rejected, or requires updates.
