What documents are accepted as proof of identity and address at FYERS?

To comply with SEBI’s KYC requirements, FYERS requires valid documents for both identity and address verification. Some documents are accepted for both purposes. Submission of a PAN card is mandatory, even if another photo ID is provided.

List of accepted identity proof documents (POI)

You must submit at least one of the following government-issued photo identification documents:

  • Aadhaar card
  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • Driving License
  • PAN card with photograph
  • An official photo ID issued by:
    • Central or State Government departments
    • Regulatory Authorities or PSUs
    • Scheduled Commercial Banks
    • Recognised Educational Institutions
    • Professional Bodies such as ICAI, ICWAI, ICSI, Bar Council
    • Banks (credit/debit cards with photo and name)

List of accepted address proof documents (POA)

You can submit any one of the following documents for residential address verification:

  • Aadhaar card
  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • Driving License
  • MNREGA job card

Each document must clearly display your name and current address.

Submission of a PAN card is compulsory for all FYERS account applications. Without it, your application cannot be processed.
