What happens to my SIP if I cancel or pause the UPI mandate from my UPI app?
Cancelling or pausing the UPI mandate linked to your SIP directly from your UPI app will result in the SIP being cancelled on FYERS. If you only want to temporarily stop your SIP instalments, pause the SIP from FYERS instead.
Cancelling the UPI mandate
If you cancel the UPI mandate linked to your SIP from your UPI app, the associated SIP will also be cancelled on FYERS. Once cancelled, future instalments under that SIP will stop.
Pausing the UPI mandate
If you pause the UPI mandate from your UPI app, the associated SIP will also be rejected on FYERS. This is because FYERS does not receive information about how long the mandate will remain paused. Therefore, the SIP cannot be kept temporarily paused based on the mandate status.
