What Happens if One of My Legs is Rejected in a Basket Order?

When you place a basket order in the FYERS App, each leg is sent to the exchange in a margin-optimised sequence. If one or more legs are rejected, the remaining legs continue as per the sequence. Some may execute while others may stay Pending or Rejected.

What you’ll see

After you submit the basket, the order is processed, and each leg is sent to the exchange for execution. A success message will be shown.

  • Go to the Orders section to view live, pending, or rejected orders along with the rejection reason.
  • Go to the Portfolio section to view any executed positions.

What you should do next

  1. Go to Orders section.
  2. Check the rejection reason shown for that leg.
  3. Fix and re-place:
    • For a value issue, edit the price or quantity and place the order again.
    • For a funds issue, add funds and try again.
  4. Assess exposure: since other legs may have executed, confirm your Portfolio and decide whether to:
    • Place the rejected leg again to restore your intended hedge, or
    • Adjust or close filled legs to realign risk.
