What happens if one of my legs is rejected in FYERS Basket mode through the Option Chain?
When you place a basket order through the Option Chain, each leg is sent to the exchange in a sequence which will require lowest margin.
If one or more legs are rejected, the remaining legs continue as per the sequence. Some may execute while others may stay Pending or Rejected.
What you’ll see
After you submit the basket, the order is processed, and each leg is sent to the exchange for execution. A success message will be shown.
- Go to the Orders section to view live, pending, or rejected orders along with the rejection reason.
- Go to the Portfolio section to view any executed positions.
What you should do next
- Go to Orders section.
- Check the rejection reason shown for that leg.
Fix and re-place:
- For a value issue, edit the price or quantity and place the order again.
- For a funds issue, add funds and try again.
Assess exposure: since other legs may have executed, confirm your Portfolio and decide whether to:
- Place the rejected leg again to restore your intended hedge, or
- Adjust or close filled legs to realign risk.
What If...
| Scenario | Solution |
|---|
| “Retry” isn’t available | Place the leg manually from Orders or rebuild the basket. |
| Still seeing “Insufficient funds” | Add funds and re-open the basket to refresh the margin requirement, then execute again. |
