Technical screeners on FYERS help you identify potential trading opportunities by analysing
price trends, momentum, and indicator-based signals. These screeners are built using widely
followed technical indicators and focus on how price is behaving rather than company fundamentals.
All technical screeners are available under Markets > Screeners on FYERS Web and the
FYERS App. They update automatically based on the latest market data.
Technical screeners available on FYERS
Momentum & crossover screeners
These screeners focus on momentum shifts and indicator crossovers that may signal a change
in trend direction.
- Bullish MACD crossover – MACD line crossing above the signal line, indicating strengthening upward momentum.
- Bearish MACD crossover – MACD line crossing below the signal line, indicating increasing downside momentum.
- Golden crossover – A shorter-term moving average crossing above a longer-term moving average, suggesting a bullish trend.
- Death crossover – A shorter-term moving average crossing below a longer-term moving average, indicating a bearish trend.
RSI & stochastic screeners
These screeners use momentum oscillators to identify strength, weakness, and possible
turning points in price movement.
- Bullish RSI crossover – RSI moving above a key level, signalling improving strength.
- Bearish RSI crossover – RSI moving below a key level, indicating weakening momentum.
- Bullish stochastic crossover – Stochastic lines crossing upward, suggesting a potential price reversal.
- Bearish stochastic crossover – Stochastic lines crossing downward, indicating possible downside continuation.
Price action confirmation screeners
These screeners look at recent price behaviour across multiple sessions to confirm trend
continuation or weakness.
- Higher highs for 2 days – Stocks making higher highs for two consecutive sessions.
- Higher close for 2 days – Stocks closing higher for two straight sessions.
- Lower lows for 2 days – Stocks making lower lows for two consecutive sessions.
- Lower close for 2 days – Stocks closing lower for two straight sessions.
Volume-based momentum screeners
These screeners combine price movement with volume flow to identify potential overbought
or oversold conditions.
- Overbought by MFI – Stocks showing strong inflows but potentially overextended.
- Oversold by MFI – Stocks showing strong outflows and possible exhaustion.
What if...
| Scenario | Explanation |
|---|
| Multiple technical screeners trigger for one stock | This usually strengthens the signal. Look for confirmation using volume or broader trend direction. |
| Indicators give conflicting signals | Conflicting signals suggest uncertainty. Waiting for clearer confirmation can help avoid false moves. |
| A signal appears but quickly reverses | This may indicate a false breakout or weak momentum. Use stop-losses and confirmation from other indicators. |
Note: Technical screeners highlight indicator-based signals, not trade recommendations.
Always combine them with price structure, volume, and risk management before taking a trade.
