What are the documents that are acceptable for Proof of Identity (POI) to open an account?
Any one of the following documents are acceptable for Proof of Identity (POI) to open an account with us:
- Aadhaar Card
- Passport
- Voter ID
- Driving License
- PAN Card with photograph
- An ID card with photo, issued by:
- Central / State Government and its departments
- Statutory / Regulatory Authorities
- Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
- Scheduled Commercial Banks
- Public Financial Institutions
- Colleges affiliated to Universities
- Professional Bodies such as ICAI, ICWAI, ICSI, Bar Council etc.
- Credit/Debit Cards issued by Banks
Please note that out of all the documents mentioned above, PAN Card is mandatory. Without a PAN Card, you will not be able to open an account with us. You can submit any of the other documents as Proof of Identity (POI) as a supporting document (Not Compulsory).
