When you open the Positions tab on FYERS Web, FYERS App, or FYERS Trader, each open position can be managed through a detailed side sheet. This panel lets you monitor P&L, exit trades, place stop-loss or target orders, and review execution history from a single screen.
Available actions on any open position
1. Exit the position
You can square off a position, fully or partially, by selecting the Sell/Exit option at the bottom of the position side sheet. Choose a Market order for an immediate exit, or a Limit order if you want to specify the exit price. You can also exit multiple positions at once from the main Positions screen when Smart Exit is enabled.
2. Add a stop-loss
Use the Add Stop-loss option in the P&L section to protect your position from adverse price moves. Learn how to set a stop-loss from the position panel.
3. Place a target order
Open the Sell window, select Limit, and enter your preferred target price to set a profit-taking order. See how to place a target order correctly.
4. Convert Intraday to Overnight
From the three-dot menu (⋮) in the position side sheet, choose Convert to Overnight to carry forward an Intraday position. This option is shown only for active Intraday positions and is processed subject to sufficient margin availability.
5. View market depth
Use the Market depth tab to see live bid–ask prices, the order book, traded quantity, and last traded price movement. This helps you assess liquidity and price action before placing exit, stop-loss, or target orders.
6. View order & trade history
- Orders tab: shows all linked order activity (triggered, pending, or cancelled)
- Trades tab: displays execution-level history with fills and timestamps
- Charts: open TradingView charts linked to the position
- Symbol details: view symbol specifications, circuit limits, and more
- Create alert: set price-based notifications
Use Market to exit instantly, Limit to exit at your chosen price, and Trigger to place a stop-loss.
