How to convert an Intraday position to Overnight in FYERS?
If you want to carry forward an Intraday trade beyond market hours, FYERS lets you convert it to an Overnight position with just a few clicks from the Positions screen.
How to convert an Intraday position to Overnight
- Go to the Portfolio section in FYERS — Positions will open by default.
- Identify your Intraday position from the “Product” column.
- Click the three-dot menu (︙) on the top-right corner of the position detail panel.
- Select “Convert to Overnight” from the dropdown.
In the pop-up window:
- Check your available quantity
- Modify the quantity to convert, if needed
- Click Convert to confirm.
What If
| Scenario | What to Do |
|---|
| “Convert to Overnight” option not visible | Position might already be Overnight or not eligible. |
| Error on conversion | Check if you have sufficient margin to carry forward the trade. |
| Quantity not editable | You can only convert quantities you still hold in Intraday. |
| Position didn’t convert | Refresh the page or check the updated Product column. |
Notes
Only eligible Intraday positions can be converted to Overnight. Intraday positions are subject to auto square-off if not converted in time. Conversion may result in different margin requirements and brokerage charges.
