On FYERS, the process of modifying or cancelling bond orders depends on the type of bond you are applying for. Government Securities (G-Secs), Treasury Bills (T-Bills), and State Development Loans (SDLs) placed via the Debt Market portal can be modified or cancelled while the order status is still In Process. Corporate bond applications placed through the IPO Portal cannot be modified — they must be cancelled and reapplied.
Modifying or Cancelling G-Sec, T-Bill, or SDL Orders
Orders can be managed only when the status is In Process. If the status shows Success, the order has already been executed and cannot be changed.
Steps to Modify an Order (Debt Market)
- Login to the FYERS Debt Market Portal.
- Go to the Orders tab and look for your order marked In Process.
- Click Modify Order and update fields such as bid quantity or price.
- Click Update Order to save changes.
Steps to Cancel an Order (Debt Market)
- Login to the FYERS Debt Market Portal.
- Go to the Orders tab and locate the order marked In Process.
- Click Cancel Order, then confirm cancellation.
You’ll receive an on-screen confirmation once the order has been successfully cancelled.
Modifying or Cancelling Corporate Bond Orders
Corporate bond applications made via the IPO Portal cannot be modified. To make changes, you must cancel the existing application and reapply.
Steps to Modify (by Cancelling and Reapplying)
- Login to the FYERS IPO Portal.
- Go to View Orders.
- Select the pending bond order and click Cancel (must be done before submission to the exchange).
- Once cancelled, place a new application with updated details (quantity, series, or UPI ID).
- Submit the new application and authorise the UPI mandate.
What if...
Scenario | Resolution |
---|
Order status shows 'Success' | The order is already executed and cannot be modified or cancelled. |
You cancel an order by mistake | You’ll need to place a new order manually if the subscription or auction window is still open. |
You entered the wrong UPI ID for corporate bonds | Cancel immediately and submit a new application with the correct UPI ID. |
You missed the issue deadline (corporate bonds) | You cannot modify or apply once the subscription window has closed. |
Important: Corporate bond orders cannot be directly modified — they must be cancelled and reapplied. Debt Market orders can only be modified or cancelled while the status is In Process.
Always double-check bid details such as price, quantity, and UPI ID before submitting orders to avoid rework or rejection.
