Why does the VWAP indicator not display properly on FYERS platforms?
The VWAP (Volume-Weighted Average Price) indicator may occasionally not render correctly on FYERS platforms—especially when viewing smaller timeframes. This is typically due to how data is loaded and displayed based on zoom levels and timeframe density.
Why this happens?
VWAP relies on cumulative volume and price data. In smaller timeframes (like 1-minute charts), a large volume of data is required to plot VWAP accurately. If only a limited number of candles are visible due to zoom-in or incomplete historical data, the platform might not have enough data points to render the VWAP properly.
Example: Exide industries chart
- On a 5-minute chart, VWAP displays correctly.
- On a 3-minute chart, VWAP continues to plot without issue.
On a 1-minute chart:
- VWAP may not appear if zoomed in too closely.
- When zoomed out, VWAP begins to display, confirming the dependency on data load volume.
What if...
Scenario | Resolution |
---|
VWAP is missing on smaller timeframes | Try zooming out or switching to a slightly higher timeframe. |
VWAP loads partially or intermittently | Reload the chart to fetch extended historical data or check your network/data load settings. |
To ensure accurate VWAP display, always allow time for the chart to load fully and avoid working with overly zoomed-in 1-minute charts unless necessary.
