Why does my recently transferred shares to FYERS Demat A/c show the Buy Average as Zero?
If you've transferred shares from another broker into your FYERS Demat Account, you may notice that the Buy Average appears as zero. This happens because the original purchase price of those shares isn't available to FYERS—the shares were not bought on our platform, so no cost data is carried forward automatically.
Here’s how you can get it updated.
How to update your Buy Average
What If...
Scenario | Explanation |
---|
I didn’t send the SOA | The Buy Average will remain 0.00 until FYERS receives valid purchase proof. |
I sent the SOA but it's not updated | Allow up to 48 working hours. You can follow up with your support ticket ID if it takes longer. |
I have multiple share transfers | Combine all relevant SOAs and mention each transfer clearly to avoid partial updates. |
I don’t have a detailed SOA | Reach out to your previous broker to get a formal statement or purchase contract note. |
Make sure your document clearly mentions the ISIN and buy price. Screenshots or partial extracts may delay processing.
