If you enter a Target value beyond the Limit Price Protection (LPP) range, the system automatically adjusts the Target to the allowed LPP limit. This helps prevent the order from being placed at an unintended or exchange-rejected price.
Earlier, this was explained using BO/CO order formats. Since BO/CO have now been replaced with Smart Stop-loss and Target fields in the order window, the same logic applies to the Target value entered while placing the order.
This adjustment happens because orders placed beyond the LPP range may be rejected. To avoid such rejection, the system modifies the Target to the allowed LPP level and helps the order placement continue smoothly.
