Why do I see two separate positions for the same stock after I squared off?
If you place a Buy or Sell order in the Equity segment on BSE, but our auto square-off happens on NSE, you might see two separate positions for the same stock. This occurs due to interoperability (Interop) in the equity segment.
Why does this happen?
Interop allows orders to be squared off across different exchanges, meaning your position is actually closed. However, because the buy and sell transactions occurred on separate exchanges (BSE & NSE), our system displays them as two distinct positions for better clarity.
Notes: This is a display difference and does not impact your actual profit and loss (P&L).
