Why didn't I receive my contract note?
Contract notes are typically emailed to your registered email address within 24 hours of market close. They serve as a confirmation of trades executed on your behalf each trading day and are generated based on final data received from the exchange.
Reasons for Delay in Receiving a Contract Note
1. Late File Sharing from the Exchange
The exchanges (NSE, BSE, etc.) send trade and charge files after market close. Sometimes, due to processing delays on their end, these files arrive late in the evening or even at night, which may delay contract note generation and dispatch.
2. Processing Queue
Once FYERS receives all necessary data, your contract note is processed in batches. During high-volume days or system maintenance, there might be a slight delay in email delivery.
3. Email Delivery Issues
If the contract note was generated but not delivered, it could be due to:
- Incorrect or inactive email ID
- The email landing in your spam or junk folder
- Email inbox storage limit being reached
What You Can Do
- Check your spam or junk folder for missed emails.
- Ensure your registered email ID with FYERS is active and up to date.
- Wait up to 24 hours post-market close before raising a query.
