Why are the X-axis and Y-axis fixed in the Sector Bubble Chart?
The Sector Bubble Chart is designed to give a quick view of sector performance in relation to risk. To keep this comparison consistent and easy to interpret, the X-axis and Y-axis are fixed and cannot be customised.
Unlike the regular Bubble Chart, which is meant for deep, multi-parameter analysis, the sector view focuses on comparing all sectors using the same set of metrics.
How the axes are defined in the Sector Bubble Chart
- X-axis: Sector Beta for the selected timeframe, representing sector volatility
- Y-axis: Price change (%) for the selected timeframe, representing sector performance
Using fixed axes ensures that performance and risk are evaluated uniformly across all sectors, making relative comparison faster and more meaningful.
What If?

| Can I change the X-axis or Y-axis to other parameters? | No. Axis metrics in the Sector Bubble Chart are fixed to Beta and price change. |
| Why doesn’t this work like the regular Bubble Chart? | The sector view is meant for quick comparison, while the regular Bubble Chart is built for flexible, in-depth analysis. |
| Where can I create a fully customisable bubble chart? | You can use the regular Bubble Chart under Market Analytics to choose your own axes and parameters. |
