Why am I unable to apply for a Buyback on FYERS?

Why am I unable to apply for a Buyback on FYERS?

You may not be able to apply for a Buyback on FYERS if the Buyback is not supported on the platform, the application window is inactive, or your holdings do not meet the eligibility criteria.

FYERS allows clients to apply only for Tender Offer Buybacks. To participate, you must have eligible unpledged shares in your Demat account as per the record date announced by the company. If the shares are pledged, still under settlement, or were purchased after the record date, the Buyback option may not appear or the request may not go through.

Buyback availability on FYERS

FYERS supports applications only for Tender Offer Buybacks.

If the company’s Buyback is not available through the tender offer route, you will not be able to apply for it through FYERS.

Buyback application window

The Apply Buyback option is available only during the active Buyback application period.

If the application window has not opened yet or has already closed, the option to apply will not be visible.

Record date eligibility

To be eligible for a Buyback, you must have held the eligible shares in your Demat account on or before the record date announced for that Buyback.

If you purchased the shares after the record date, you will not be eligible to participate.

Pledged shares

Pledged shares are not eligible for Buyback participation.

If your shares are pledged, they will not be available for tendering in the Buyback.

T1 holdings

T1 holdings are shares that are still under settlement and are not yet fully available in your Demat account.

Since Buyback eligibility is based on eligible shares held in your Demat account as of the record date, T1 holdings cannot be used for Buyback participation.
