What Is the Process to Convert an MTF Position to an Overnight Position?

You can convert your Margin Trading Facility (MTF) position to an Overnight (CNC) position using FYERS Web or FYERS Trader. This feature is currently not available on the FYERS App. Make sure you have sufficient margin before initiating the request.

On FYERS Web

Steps to Convert an MTF Position

  1. Log in at https://fyers.in/web/ and go to the Portfolio → Positions tab.
  2. Locate the MTF position you want to convert.
  3. Click the three-dot (⋮) menu next to the stock.
  4. Select Convert to Overnight from the dropdown options.
  5. Enter the quantity of shares you want to convert in the pop-up window.
  6. Click Convert to submit the request.

On FYERS Trader

Steps to Convert an MTF Position

  1. Log in at https://trade.fyers.in/.
  2. Navigate to the Manage Account section.
  3. Go to the Positions tab to view your current holdings.
  4. Find the MTF position you want to convert and click the Edit (pencil) icon.
  5. In the conversion pop-up, select Convert to Overnight.
  6. Enter the quantity you want to convert and confirm.

On FYERS App

This feature is not available on the FYERS App. Please use FYERS Web or FYERS Trader to place conversion requests.

Important Notes

  • Conversion requests are accepted only on trading days between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
  • You must have sufficient funds to support the Overnight (CNC) position. If not, the request will be rejected.
  • If you sell the stock before the conversion request is executed, the request will be cancelled automatically.
  • Once approved, the stock will reflect under your CNC holdings on the next working day.
  • You will receive WhatsApp and email confirmations for both successful and rejected conversions.
