The 'Overnight' option in the order window allows you to place orders to hold positions for more than a day across all segments.
Key points:
- Use 'Overnight' if you plan to carry your stock or contract positions beyond the same trading day.
- Suitable for delivery trades and BTST (Buy Today, Sell Tomorrow), swing and longer-term strategies.
- It is not mandatory to hold positions overnight — you can square off open positions anytime during market hours.
- Intraday square-off timings do not apply to orders placed under 'Overnight'.
- Clients following BTST strategies should select the 'Overnight' product type when placing their orders.
