What Is the Interest Rate for Margin Trading Facility (MTF) in FYERS?
When you use Margin Trading Facility (MTF) at FYERS, interest is charged on the borrowed amount based on a slab-wise structure. The rate is determined by your total borrowed amount on any given day—not the trade duration—ensuring consistent and transparent charges.

MTF Interest Rate Slabs
Although the rates are shown annually, interest is calculated and charged daily. Only one slab rate applies per day, based on your total borrowed amount:
Total Borrowed Amount (Daily) | Annual Interest Rate | Approx. Daily Rate |
---|
Up to ₹1,000 | 0% | 0% |
₹1,000.01 – ₹1,00,000 | 16.49% | 0.0452% |
₹1,00,000.01 – ₹10,00,000 | 15.49% | 0.0424% |
₹10,00,000.01 – ₹25,00,000 | 14.49% | 0.0397% |
₹25,00,000.01 – ₹50,00,000 | 12.49% | 0.0342% |
If your borrowed amount crosses into a higher slab—even for one day—you’ll be charged at the higher rate for that day.
How Interest Is Calculated
- Interest is calculated daily and posted to your MTF ledger weekly.
- The applicable slab rate applies to your full borrowed value for that day.
- Your daily borrowed amount determines which slab applies.
You can reduce your interest costs by pre-paying part of your MTF obligation or reducing your exposure before the day ends.
Examples
- If your borrowed amount is ₹1,000 → No interest applies (0% slab).
- If you borrow ₹1,100 → 0.0452% daily → approx. ₹0.50/day.
- If you borrow ₹50,00,000 → 0.0342% daily → approx. ₹1,710/day.
You can estimate your daily or weekly interest using the MTF Calculator.
