In Quick Mode, you can choose conditions from the available drop-downs, combine multiple conditions to refine your screen, and view matching stocks under Screening Results.

Using Quick Mode in Smart Screener for fundamental analysis

A simple way to start using Smart Screener is by thinking of what you want to find in the market. For example, you may want to identify companies that generate strong returns on shareholders’ equity.

Instead of opening each company and checking its ROE individually, you can go to Fundamentals, locate ROE, and select: ROE → High ROE

Once selected, Smart Screener automatically applies the condition and shows all matching stocks under Screening Results. This immediately converts a broad idea into a focused list of companies that meet the selected fundamental filter.

From here, you can continue refining your search based on what you are trying to narrow down. For instance, if your idea becomes more specific such as finding companies that not only have high ROE but also maintain lower debt, you can simply add another condition.

To do this, stay within Fundamentals, navigate Debt to Equity, and select: Debt to Equity → Very Low Debt

Smart Screener then combines both selections and updates the results accordingly. The list now reflects companies that satisfy both the ROE and debt related conditions together.

This approach helps you move step by step from a broad idea to a more refined shortlist without manually comparing financial data across multiple companies. Instead of switching between different sources or checking each stock individually, you build your view directly through the available drop-down conditions, and Smart Screener organizes the matching results for you in one place.

Using the Universe drop-down

The Universe drop-down lets you choose the group of stocks you want to screen.

Select the required stock universe and then apply your fundamental conditions. Smart Screener displays stocks from the selected universe that match your criteria.

Using Criteria and Screening Results

Every condition you select is displayed under Criteria, making it easier to keep track of the filters applied to the screener.

The stocks matching those conditions are displayed under Screening Results.

Additional conditions can be added when a more focused result set is required. Conditions can also be changed or removed to broaden the results.

Saving the screening setup

A useful combination of conditions can be saved for later use.

1. Click Save screener
2. Enter a Screener name
3. Add a Description, click Confirm

This allows the same screening setup to be used again without selecting all the conditions from scratch.
