What is Smart Exit in FYERS and how to use it?

Smart Exit in FYERS helps you protect your capital by setting portfolio-level profit or loss conditions. Once triggered, FYERS can automatically exit all open positions or notify you — depending on the exit mode selected.

Steps

  • Open the Portfolio section — Positions will appear by default.
  • Click on the Smart Exit icon at the top of the screen.
  • In the side panel that opens, click the “+” icon to create a new Smart Exit.
  • Choose one of the two modes:
    • Exit with Alert: Auto-exits all open positions when either target or max loss is hit.
    • Only Alert: Sends a notification but does not execute any exit order.
  • Enter:
    • Profit Target — overall gain threshold
    • Max Loss — total capital loss limit
  • Give the rule a name (e.g., “Max Risk - Morning Session”).
  • (Optional) Enable Wait & Re-check max loss to prevent reaction to temporary price spikes.
  • Click Create to activate the Smart Exit condition.

Notes

Smart Exit monitors your entire portfolio — not individual trades.
The condition is valid only for the trading day.
All auto-exits are executed as market orders when triggered.
