How do I place Smart Exit in FYERS?
Smart Exit lets you control risk at a portfolio level. Set a profit target and a stop-loss once, and FYERS will either auto-exit all eligible positions (except Delivery) when a limit is hit or alert you to act manually—depending on the mode you choose.
Below are App and Web steps in this order: Exit with Alert → video, then Alert without Exit → video.
On FYERS App
Exit with Alert
- Go to Portfolio → Positions overview and tap Smart Exit.
- Enter Target (profit) and Stop-loss (loss) values.
- Select Exit (Exit with alert). Positions will be squared off automatically when either value is hit.
- (Optional) Turn on Retest Stop-loss and set the retest duration.
- Tap Activate → review the summary → tap Confirm.
Alert without Exit
- Go to Portfolio → Positions overview and tap Smart Exit.
- Enter Target and Stop-loss.
- Select Alert without Exit. You’ll get a notification; positions remain open.
- Tap Activate to enable alert-only mode.
On FYERS Web
Exit with Alert
- Go to Portfolio → Positions and open the Smart Exit panel.
- Enter Profit target and Max loss.
- Keep Exit with alert selected. FYERS will square off eligible positions when either value is hit.
- (Optional) Expand Advanced to enable retest and set the check interval; add a Name if required.
- Click Create to activate. Manage it from the Smart Exit panel (toggle, edit, view history).
Alert without Exit
- Go to Portfolio → Positions and open the Smart Exit panel.
- Enter Profit target and Max loss.
- Select Only alert to receive notifications without auto-exit.
- Click Create. The active alert appears in the Smart Exit panel; use the toggle to enable/disable.
What if…
Scenario | What to check |
---|
Exit didn’t happen when target/SL was hit | Confirm the mode is Exit (not Alert without Exit). Also ensure Smart Exit is Active in the panel/header. |
It exited only some positions | Smart Exit excludes Delivery holdings. Only eligible (non-Delivery) positions are closed. |
Multiple Smart Exits needed | Only one Smart Exit can be active at a time. Edit the active one or deactivate it to create another. |
Want to avoid immediate SL exits on spikes | Enable Retest Stop-loss and set the retest interval before activation. |
Validity / end time | Confirmation shows validity until 11:59 PM for the day. Re-enable on the next trading day if needed. |
When auto-exit is triggered, FYERS places a Market order with Protection (MPP) to close eligible positions. Delivery holdings are not affected.
