What is a BO ID, and where do I find it?

The BO ID (Beneficiary Owner Identification Number) is my unique 16-digit number linked to my Demat account. This number is assigned by the depository — CDSL in the case of FYERS — and it plays a key role in identifying my account during various trading and settlement processes.

Understanding the BO ID

  • My BO ID is 16 digits long.
  • The first 8 digits are the DP ID (Depository Participant ID).
  • The last 8 digits are my Client ID.

I use this ID for pledging shares, IPO applications, off-market transfers, and more.

How I can check my BO ID on FYERS platforms

On  App:

  1. I open the FYERS App and tap the profile icon.
  2. I select Profile → Personal Details.
  3. I scroll to Demat Details to find my 16-digit BO ID.

On Web:

  1. I log in to my FYERS Web account: fyers.in/web
  2. I click my name at the top right and select Profile.
  3. I go to the Personal Details tab.
  4. My BO ID is shown under the Demat Details section.
