What Happens When There Are No Buyers or Sellers for My Order?

What happens when there are no buyers or sellers for the order I placed?

When there are no buyers for a sell order or no sellers for a buy order, the order will not get executed. The order remains in the market, waiting for a matching counterparty. If the situation persists:
  1. Unexecuted Orders: Your order stays pending and will remain open until the market finds a matching buyer or seller.
  2. Order Validity: Depending on the type of order and its validity period (generally a day unless GTT), it may eventually be cancelled if not executed within the set timeframe.
