What Happens to My Pending Orders if My Trading Account Is Frozen?

We strongly recommend requesting a freeze only after you’ve cancelled all pending orders and closed any open positions. If your FYERS trading account is already frozen, here’s how different pending orders are handled.

How Pending Orders Are Handled During Freezing

  • Smart Orders and GTT Orders: Smart Orders and Good Till Triggered (GTT) orders will be automatically rejected when they are triggered. No action is needed from your side, and these orders will not execute while the account is frozen.
  • Bracket Orders (BO) and Cover Orders (CO): If any BO/CO orders are open at the time of freezing, FYERS Support will contact you and help with the required steps to manage or close the positions.
  • Other Pending Orders: All other pending orders (regular orders) will be automatically cancelled when the account is frozen.
Request a freeze only after cancelling all pending orders to avoid automatic rejections or RMS intervention.

What if...

ScenarioOutcome
I freeze my account with Smart/GTT orders openThey won’t execute; they’ll be automatically rejected if triggered
I have active BO/CO ordersFYERS Support will contact you to manage or close those orders
I have regular pending ordersThey will be automatically cancelled when the freeze takes effect
I want to avoid rejectionsCancel all pending orders before raising a freeze request
I accidentally froze my account with ordersThe freeze request will not be processed. You must cancel pending orders and close positions first.

Always cancel pending orders and close existing positions before requesting a freeze. This prevents order rejections and avoids manual intervention.
Freezing is a protective feature: funds and holdings remain safe, but orders cannot remain active while your account is frozen.
