What does the Heat multiplier do and when should I use it?
The Heat multiplier controls how strongly colours show gains and losses on the Heatmap. Increasing it makes small changes look more pronounced; decreasing it softens the shading.
How it works
- The Heat multiplier adjusts colour sensitivity. Higher = stronger colour contrast; lower = gentler shades.
- It does not change the underlying data—only how clearly differences appear.
FYERS Web
- Open Analytics › Heatmap.
- Click Heat multiplier on the top toolbar to open it.
In the heat multiplier setting:
- Baseline value (1D chg %) – keep or edit as needed (default shown: 0).
- Multiplier – choose Balanced, High sensitivity, or Low sensitivity.
Click Apply to save, or Reset to clear only the Heat multiplier.
- To start over, click Reset all on the toolbar (next to Heat multiplier); this restores the entire Heatmap to defaults.
FYERS App
- Go to Markets (bottom nav) › Analytics › Heatmap.
- Tap the three lines icon on the top right to open Preferences.
- Select Heat multiplier, pick Balanced, High sensitivity, or Low sensitivity, then tap Apply.
- Use Reset in Preferences to clear just this setting.
Notes
- Use a higher Heat multiplier when shades look too similar and you need clearer separation.
- Use a lower Heat multiplier if colours feel exaggerated.
- Reset all (Web) sits next to Heat multiplier and resets everything; Reset inside a setting clears only that one setting.
What If?
| Scenario | What to do |
|---|
| Colours look too similar | Choose High sensitivity (or move the multiplier higher) and Apply. |
| Colours feel exaggerated | Choose Low sensitivity for gentler shading. |
| I only want to undo this change | Click Reset in the Heat multiplier setting (or in App Preferences). |
| I want to start over (Web) | Click Reset all (next to Heat multiplier) to restore defaults. |
