What does changing the timeframe show in the Sector Heatmap section?

In the Sector Heatmap section, the timeframe selector is the primary control used to analyse sector performance. Changing the timeframe updates both the Sector Heatmap and the Sector Bubble Chart to reflect sector behaviour over the selected period.

This allows you to quickly compare how sectors have performed in the short term versus the medium or long term, without adjusting multiple parameters.

How timeframe selection affects each view

  • In the Sector Heatmap, block colours update to reflect the price change (%) of each sector for the selected timeframe.
  • In the Sector Bubble Chart, the same timeframe is applied to sector returns and Beta, ensuring consistent performance and risk comparison.

Using different timeframes helps you identify sectors that are showing momentum, consistency, or reversals across periods.

What If?

If you are wondering...Here’s what you need to know

Why don’t I see separate timeframe controls for each view? The sector section uses a single timeframe to keep performance and risk comparisons consistent.
Can I analyse multiple timeframes at the same time? No. You can view one timeframe at a time, but you can switch between timeframes instantly for comparison.
