What do terms like Unrealised P&L, Invested value, and Current value mean?

The FYERS Holdings tab displays several key metrics that help you track your portfolio's performance. Understanding what each term means is essential for evaluating your investments accurately.

Key Terms Explained

  • Invested Value
    This is the total amount you've spent to acquire the shares or mutual fund units, including all purchases. It excludes charges or taxes.
  • Current Value
    This is the real-time value of your holdings based on the latest traded price (LTP) of the stock or NAV (Net Asset Value) of the mutual fund.
  • Unrealised P&L (Profit & Loss)
    This shows the notional gain or loss on your investment if you were to sell it at the current market price. It’s "unrealised" because you haven’t exited the position yet.
  • Today’s P&L
    This indicates the change in your holding’s value for the current trading day only. It resets daily and helps track intraday performance.
  • T1 Quantity (for stocks)
    These are shares you've bought recently but are still under settlement. They appear in your holdings with a “T1” tag.
