What decides how sectors are displayed in the Sector Heatmap and Sector Bubble Chart?

In the Sector Heatmap section, both the Heatmap view and the Bubble Chart view use a fixed set of parameters. This ensures that sector comparisons remain consistent and easy to interpret across different timeframes.

How sectors are represented in each view

Sector Heatmap

  • Block size: Represents the market capitalisation of the sector
  • Block colour: Represents the price change (%) for the selected timeframe
  • Value shown inside the block: Sector name and price change (%)

Sector Bubble Chart

  • Bubble size: Represents the market capitalisation of the sector
  • X-axis: Sector Beta for the selected timeframe
  • Y-axis: Price change (%) for the selected timeframe
  • Bubble colour: Indicates sector performance (positive, negative, or flat)

These parameters are applied automatically and remain the same for all sectors, allowing you to quickly compare performance and risk without adjusting multiple settings.

What If?

If you are wondering...Here’s what you need to know
Can I change what block size or bubble size represents? No. In the Sector Heatmap section, size is always based on sector market capitalisation.
Can I change the colour logic or apply financial ratios? No. Colours are based only on price change (%) for the selected timeframe.
Why are these parameters fixed? The sector view is designed for fast, top-down analysis rather than deep customisation.
