What are the various error messages displayed in the New Order Window?

In order to simplify the order placement, we've given a tool kit for all the error messages. The messages in the quotes below are displayed on our new order window whereas the bold ones are descriptions:


"Disclosed quantity should be less than or equal to quantity."

When the disclosed quantity entered is more than the actual quantity this message is displayed.


"Quantity should be multiples of "


This message is displayed when you enter an invalid quantity. Quantity for Equity should be the multiples of 1 and Quantity for the F&O must be entered in the multiples of lot size. To know the lot sizes of all the F&O contracts, check out our margin calculator.


"Sell Limit price should be greater than LTP."


This error message will pop up if the sell limit is set at the price lower than the LTP (refer to this article).


"Buy Limit price should be lower than LTP."


This message is displayed if the buy limit is set at the price higher than the LTP.


"Limit price should be multiples of "


This message is displayed if you’d entered an invalid limit price. The limit price for Equity, F&O, and MCX is to be set in the multiples of 0.05 whereas the limit price for Currency derivatives is set in the multiples of 0.0025.

  

"Trigger price should be greater than LTP."


This message is displayed if the buy trigger is set at the price below the Last Traded Price (refer to this article)


"Trigger price should be lesser than LTP."


This error will pop-up if the sell trigger is set at the price lower than the Last Traded Price.


"Trigger price should be less than limit price."


This message is displayed if the buy trigger price is set at the price lower than the LTP.


"Trigger price should be greater than limit price."


This message is displayed if the sell trigger price is set at the price higher than the LTP.


"Trigger price should be multiples of ",


This message is displayed on entering an invalid trigger price. The limit price for Equity, F&O, and MCX is to be set in the multiples of 0.05 whereas the limit price for Currency derivatives is set in the multiples of 0.0025.


"Stop loss should be less than LTP and greater than 0."


This message is displayed if the stop loss set is higher than the LTP or negative values.


"Stop loss should be higher than LTP."


This message is displayed if the stop loss set is below the LTP.


"Stop loss should be less than limit price."


This message is displayed if the stop loss is set higher than the limit price in a Buy order.


"Stop loss should be higher than limit price."


This error message will pop up if the stop loss is set lower than the limit price in a Sell order.

  

"Stop loss should be greater than trigger price."


This message will be displayed if the stop loss set is less than that of the trigger price.


"Stop loss should be less than trigger price."


When the stop loss set is higher than the trigger price the above-displayed message will pop up.


"Stop loss should be multiples of "


This message is displayed on entering an invalid stop-loss price/points. The stop loss for Equity, F&O, and MCX is to be set in the multiples of 0.05 whereas the stop loss for Currency derivatives is set in the multiples of 0.0025.

"Take profit should be greater than 0 and in multiples of ",


This message is displayed, if the take profit is set in negative or invalid values. The take profit for Equity, F&O, and MCX is to be set in the multiples of 0.05 whereas the take profit for Currency derivatives is set in the multiples of 0.0025.

   

"Take profit should be less than LTP and greater than 0."


If the take profit set is higher than the LTP or in negative values in a sell order, the above message will be displayed.


"Take profit should be higher than LTP."


If the take profit set is lower than the LTP in a buy order, the above message will be displayed.


"Take profit should be less than limit price."


If the take profit set is higher than the LTP in a sell order, the above message will be displayed.


"Take profit should be higher than limit price."


If the take profit set is lesser than the LTP in a buy order, the above message will be displayed.


"Take profit should be greater than trigger price."


If the take profit set is lesser than the trigger price in a buy order, the above message will be displayed.


"Take profit should be less than trigger price.",


If the take profit set is higher than the trigger price in a sell order, the above message will be displayed.


“You can only add up to 20 symbols to the basket, please select another basket to continue.”


This message is displayed on adding the 21st scrip to any of the existing baskets. You’re required to create a new basket.


"BO/CO is not enabled for this scrip."


Bracket order and Cover order are unavailable for the selected scrip.


"MPP% should lie between 0 to 3%"
Set the Market Price Protection (MPP%) within these ranges for Smart Orders: 0 to 3% for Equity, 0 to 1% for Futures, and 0 to 20% for Options.
