What Are the Scalper Settings on FYERS App?
Scalper settings on the FYERS App allow predefined trading parameters to be configured before placing orders from Charts. These settings control product type, stop-loss, target, and quantity calculation when Scalper is enabled.
Accessing Scalper Settings
- Open any supported symbol
- Tap Charts
- Tap Scalper from the top-right corner
- Tap the three-dot menu and select Scalper settings
Scalper settings overview
- Product type: Selects whether Scalper orders are placed as intraday or overnight trades.
- Intraday: Valid for the same trading day. Positions are squared off if not closed before market close.
- Overnight: Valid for up to 365 days, subject to exchange and regulatory conditions.
- Stop-loss: Allows you to set the stop-loss either as a percentage or as an absolute value from the order price, which is automatically placed if configured.
- Target: Allows you to set the target either as a percentage or as an absolute value from the order price, which is automatically placed if configured.
- Position sizing: Determines how the order quantity is calculated based on Amount (Amt), Lots, or % Margin.
- Order line on index: Displays a visual order line on the chart at the order price for easier trade tracking.
- Auto-update quantity when price moves: Automatically recalculates the order quantity if the price changes before placing the order.
Stop-loss and target can be defined either as a percentage or as an absolute value, and the selected product type is applied to all Scalper orders.
