What Is the Difference Between Size and Pressure in FYERS Liquidity Lens?

Size and Pressure are two views in Liquidity Lens that help you analyse resting liquidity on FYERS Smart Charts. Size shows where larger quantities of orders are concentrated, while Pressure shows whether Bid or Ask liquidity dominates at different price levels.

Size

Size displays the combined resting Bid and Ask quantities at different price levels without separating them by side.

  • Identify price levels with larger concentrations of resting orders.
  • Observe where liquidity is increasing or decreasing.
  • Compare liquidity concentrations across different price levels.

Areas with larger quantities appear more prominently on the chart.

Pressure

Pressure separates resting liquidity into Bid (buy) and Ask (sell) quantities at different price levels.

  • Green areas: Indicate Bid-dominant liquidity.

  • Red areas: Indicate Ask-dominant liquidity.

You can use Pressure to:

  • Compare the resting order quantities on both sides.
  • Compare how resting liquidity is distributed between Bid and Ask sides.
  • Observe how the balance changes over time.

You can also hover over a coloured area to view the resting Bid and Ask quantities at that price level.
