The Positions quick start guide is available on both the FYERS App and FYERS Web. The available options may differ slightly based on the platform and the selected position.
The Positions overview gives you a quick summary of your position performance and available actions.
| Section | What it shows |

| Total P&L | Shows the overall profit or loss from your positions. |
| Realised / Unrealised P&L | Shows realised and unrealised profit or loss values, where available. |
| Status | Lets you view positions by status, such as All, Open, or Closed. |
| Smart Exit status | Shows whether Smart Exit is active or inactive. |
| Day’s gainers and losers | Shows the split between gaining and losing positions, where available. |
| Position table | Displays position details such as symbol, side, product, quantity, average price, LTP, and total P&L. |
Quick actions help you access commonly used position tools without moving through multiple screens.

When you select a position, FYERS shows shortcuts that help you take quick action on that specific position.

| Exit / Quick exit | Exit the selected position. |
| Reverse position | Place an opposite-side order for the selected position. |
| Convert | Convert the product type where applicable, such as Intraday, Delivery, or Overnight. |
| Market Depth | View bid, ask, and market depth details for the selected symbol. |
| Charts | Open the chart for the selected symbol. |
| Symbol details | View details of the selected symbol. |
| Create Alert | Create an alert for the selected symbol. |
| Add to Basket | Add the order or symbol to a basket. |
| Add more | Add more quantity to the existing position. |
You can use filters to narrow down the positions shown on the screen.

| P&L | Filter positions based on profit or loss. |
| Underlying and expiry | Filter derivative positions by underlying and expiry, where applicable. |

| Symbol type | Filter positions based on symbol category. |
| Smart Exit | Filter positions based on Smart Exit status. |
On FYERS Web, the Preferences panel lets you choose which columns should appear in the Positions table.

| Basic | Choose basic fields such as quantity, average price, LTP, and P&L. |
| Transaction details | Choose fields such as buy average price, buy quantity, sell average price, and sell quantity. |
| Save | Applies the selected column preferences. |
| Reset | Clears the selected preferences and restores the default view. |
You can use the Search option in the Positions screen to quickly find a specific position by symbol.

| I cannot see a position | Check whether you are viewing All, Open, or Closed positions, and clear any active filters. |
| I cannot find a specific symbol | Use the Search option in the Positions screen. |
| I cannot see all shortcuts | On the FYERS App, swipe horizontally on the action strip to view more shortcuts. On FYERS Web, hover over or select the position to view available actions. |
| I cannot see all columns | On FYERS Web, open Preferences and select the required columns. |
| Smart Exit shows Inactive | Smart Exit may appear inactive depending on its availability or setup. |
