Is there a limit on the number of legs in a strategy?

Yes. In Options Strategy Builder on FYERS, you can add a maximum of 10 legs to a single strategy. You cannot add more than 10 legs.

This limit applies to all strategies created using Options Strategy Builder, whether they are simple or complex.

Maximum number of legs allowed

You can add option or futures legs to a strategy until the total number of legs reaches 10. Once this limit is reached, no additional legs can be added to that strategy.

This limit helps ensure that strategy analysis, margin calculations, and order execution remain accurate and manageable.

How multi-leg strategies are handled

All legs added to a strategy are displayed together in the order window. Before execution, you can review the combined payoff, margin requirement, charges, and other analytics for all selected legs.

When the strategy is placed, all legs are executed together through a single order flow.

Notes

  • You can add only up to 10 legs to a single strategy.
  • All legs in a strategy must belong to the same underlying.
