Modifying Orders from Trigger Limit to Limit or Market on FYERS

Is it possible to modify my order type from Trigger Limit to Limit or Market on FYERS?

On FYERS, whether you can modify your order from a Trigger Limit to a Limit or Market order depends on the rules of the exchange on which the order is placed:
  1. NSE Exchange: Modification is allowed. This gives traders using the NSE platform flexibility in how they manage their orders, allowing for strategic adjustments post-placement.
  2. BSE Exchange: Modification is allowed. Similar to the NSE, the BSE also provides traders with the option to switch their order types from Trigger Limit to Limit or Market, facilitating dynamic trading strategies.
  3. MCX Exchange: Modification is not allowed. If you have placed a Trigger Limit order on the MCX, you cannot change it to a Limit or Market order. To adjust your strategy, you would need to cancel the existing order and place a new order of the desired type.
This indicates that traders on the NSE and BSE exchanges have the flexibility to modify their orders from Trigger Limit to Limit or Market, offering an advantage in adjusting their trading approaches. However, this option is not available for orders placed on the MCX exchange.
