Is it possible to modify my order type from Limit to Trigger Limit/Stop Limit on FYERS?
On FYERS, the ability to modify your order type from Limit to Trigger Limit (also known as Stop Limit) depends on the exchange where your order is placed:
MCX Exchange: Modification is not allowed. If you have placed an order in the MCX segment and wish to change it to a Trigger Limit order, you need to cancel the existing Limit order and place a new Trigger Limit order.
BSE Exchange: Modification is not allowed. Similar to the MCX exchange, if you've placed an order in the BSE segment, you must cancel the pending Limit order and place a new Trigger Limit order.
NSE Exchange: Modification is allowed. If your order is in the NSE segment, you can easily modify it to a Trigger Limit order by selecting the Modify option and ticking the 'Trigger buy/sell' checkbox.
This shows that the NSE exchange uniquely allows for the modification from Limit to Trigger Limit orders, offering traders on FYERS the flexibility to adjust their trading strategies as needed.
