Is it allowed to trade in equity delivery by linking other Demat accounts?
No, it is not allowed. If we had allowed you link your existing Demat account which is held with another broker with your Fyers trading account, you would have been able to buy shares through us, but you wouldn’t have been able to sell them through us. You’d have to sell it through the other stockbroker with whom you who hold the Demat account.
Also, when you buy through us, your holdings statement would reflect the shares that you purchased. But since you have sold through the other broker, we will not get to know when you sold those shares because it is not digitally linked. In such a situation, our platform would continue to show the holdings which is not appropriate and can confuse you. This can confuse in case you have forgotten about the trade.
However, if you link your existing Demat account with your Fyers Trading account, you can trade in equity intraday segment.
