In FYERS basket orders, are legs executed simultaneously or sequentially?

Legs in a FYERS basket order are executedsequentially, not all at once. The sequence is optimised to minimise overall margin usage, as indicated in the order window when you place multi-leg strategies.

On FYERS App
Build your strategy from Options Chain → order window. Review the order window before you execute the basket order. After submission, each leg shows an individual status — Executed / Pending / Rejected — so you can track outcomes clearly.

Explanation

  • Where this applies: FYERS App (Android/iOS) via Options Chain → order window.
  • Execution model: Legs are sent one by one in a margin-optimised order.
  • Status tracking: Post-submit results list each leg’s outcome with quick actions like Go to orders or Retry.
  • Per-leg order type: You can mix Market and Limit legs; each still follows the same sequential flow.

How it works

  1. From Options Chain, add two or more legs (B/S) and open the order window.
  2. Review legs; choose Overnight or Intraday; set each leg to Market or Limit (enter Price for Limit).
  3. Check Funds req / Funds avl / Net premium / Charges in the order window.
  4. Tap Execute. FYERS places legs sequentially in the margin-optimised order; outcomes are shown per leg.

Tips & Warnings

  • Limit legs need a price: Any leg set to Limit must have a valid Price before execution.
  • Expect sequential fills: Market legs may fill faster; Limit legs depend on your price and liquidity.
  • Funds view: Use the footer summary (Funds req / Funds avl / Net premium / Charges) to avoid shortfalls.
  • Charges preview: Open Charges to see an itemised estimate before placing the basket.

Troubleshooting

  • “Execute” is disabled: Resolve Insufficient funds or add the missing Limit Price for any Limit leg.
  • A leg shows Rejected: Open Orders to view the reason; adjust price/quantity/product and Retry where available.
  • Only one leg added: The order window requires two or more legs to proceed.
